Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the skin – or applying various other techniques to the acupuncture points – to restore balance and encourage the body to heal itself.

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese Medicine technique that involves the burning of the herb 'Mugwort' over points on the body to facilitate healing.

Cupping is where glass cups are placed on the body in a way which creates therapeutic suction.

It is the application of a pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles as a means of stimulating the acupoints.

Acupressure can be used when there is a fear of needles. Direct thumb pressure is applied to the acupuncture points instead of the needles.
