Cupping by Perrine de Montard Dublin.jpg

Cupping

Cupping is where glass/bamboo cups are placed on the body in a way which creates therapeutic suction. It activates healthy blood circulation to remove stagnation and gets rid of coldness in the body to warm up the body & increase immunity. Cupping improves blood circulation, drains excess fluids, removes metabolic waste (toxins), promotes relaxation and micro-circulation to encourage repair. It is also known to help release muscle & speed up muscle recovery, tension and stiffness, relieves pain by increasing endorphins.

Chinese Herbal Medicine Tailored for You

Chinese Herbal Medicine employs the same diagnostic methods as other types of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and, rather than using pre-sterilised disposable Acupuncture needles to provide the treatment, it uses Traditional Chinese Medical ingredients such as roots, leaves and flowers which are combined according to classical Chinese Prescriptions to treat the your condition. These herbs come in tablet or powder form and we only use herbs that have been sourced and prepared to the highest standards. Each prescription is tailored to the individual which therefore requires an in-depth initial consultation.

Chinese medical herbs provide suitably trained practitioners with a vast armoury of effective treatments that may compliment acupuncture treatments or be used as stand alone treatments.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese Medicine technique that involves the burning of the herb 'Mugwort' over points on the body to facilitate healing with acupuncture. The purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of traditional Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health.

Electro-acupuncture

This is the application of a pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles as a means of stimulating the acupoints. When these points are ‘activated’ or stimulated, these specific complaints of chronic pain or illnesses can be alleviated, using a gentle electrical in conjunction with, or instead of, acupuncture needles.

Acupressure

Acupressure can be used when there is a fear of needles. Direct thumb pressure is applied to the acupuncture points instead of the needles.

"This is the great error of our day, that physicians separate the soul from the body. The cure should not be attempted, without the treatment of the whole, and no attempt should be made to cure the body without the soul”
